Update: March 16, 2020
To our loyal clients,
It's certainly an interesting time to be a small business owner or independent contractor right now! All of us are facing unique and unprecedented challenges, and trying to make the best of a bad situation while also trying to be part of the solution rather than exacerbating the problem. Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, I have made the difficult decision to cancel all on-site services for at least the next few weeks for the safety of my clients. As many of you know, my day job is working as an IT Director for an international tour operator. Because I work in the travel industry and because I service mostly a higher-risk group clientele in my side business as a PC Technician, it seems like the best thing to do given the nature of what we're dealing with right now, and knowing that I'm at a higher risk to become a carrier due to my frequent workplace interactions with International travelers. It pains me to do this, but I simply cannot control the conditions at a client's site the same way I can control them in the environment of my offices at home.
My home office has always operated as a semi-sterile environment, due to the sensitive nature of electronic components, and I'm stepping up sanitation measures during this time. While I will not be performing any housecalls for the next little while, we are still accepting computers via drop-off. All systems will be thoroughly sterilized via UV light and anti-bacterial agents on receipt, and will be sterilized again before leaving. There's someone available to receive drop-offs at our Keene location pretty much around the clock, so that our clients will be able to drop off their systems at their convenience.
If clients would rather defer services and wait until this whole Coronavirus thing is past, I totally understand that as well. Again, my apologies for the inconvenience of not being able to perform housecall services at this time - but I think it's the right thing to do, in the interest of public health and safety, and in particular, in the interests of my valued clients.
Stay safe out there!
